After a tiring day two, all of the children slept soundly last night! Today, all the groups took on the mighty abseil tower!! They really enjoyed this activity and had the opportunity to complete it twice. Later on, two of the groups went on the quad bikes whilst others were completing archery and fencing.
In other news, you will be pleasantly pleased to know that all pupils seem to be using new underwear and socks each day (we are just hoping it's their own)!
Tonight's dinner was curry which went down well with everyone. Great fun was then had at the disco with both children and staff showing off their best moves. We will be heading off on the seal trip tomorrow morning, on our next adventure! Mr H
After a cooked breakfast, the pupils were joined today by Mr Hallum, Lewis and Elizabeth. They started the morning off with a pool party which they all thoroughly enjoyed! Pupils were then split into their activity groups taking part in a range of different activites, including: Indoor climb, nightline, low ropes, jacobs ladder and archery. There was a real sense of teamwork being shown by the pupils and a willingness to just have a go at everything! Tonight's dinner was a roast, followed by a movie in the onsite cinema. The pupils are now settled down in bed and looking forward to what lies ahead tomorrow. Mr H
The children have had a fantastic first day at Kingswood! We arrived at 11:30am and after lunch headed for the leap of faith!! The instructors remarked on how confident and quick the children were at completing the leap of faith! It was a pleasure to see their faces whilst they were hanging on the trapeze bar with such a sense of achievement and a feeling of "I did it!" We then had a tour of the camp with Ben (our group leader) and headed up Beeston's bump which gave the pupils a fantastic view! The children are now tucked up in bed and ready for a great night sleep...we hope!!
