Two particular highlights today for the children have been taking on the GIANT SWING and heading out on the canoes (in the sun)! This evening, the pupils had great fun throwing some shapes and their best dance moves at the disco.
We are aiming to leave here at 2pm tomorrow. Please check the school website for an up to date eta.
Mr Hassard and Kitty take on the GIANT swing!
This morning all the children took part in raft building. To start with, they had to build their raft, before taking it onto the water. Although the rafts all floated...none of the pupils/Mrs Carter and Mr Hassard escaped getting very wet! The rest of the day was spent flying down the zip wire, conquering the climbing wall and taking on the crate stacking challenge. This evening we went to the local skating rink in Swindon. The pupils made incredible progress and were commented by many members of the public on their excellent behavior.
The pupils had a good night sleep and the weather has been much better today! Mr Hallum has now joined us and has been so impressed with the resilience the pupils have showed. The children have shown great courage and determination when taking part in the activities and have thoroughly enjoyed their day. We have just come back from a camp fire and are now settling down for a peaceful nights sleep!
We arrived at 1pm after stopping off at South Mimms and had lunch. This afternoon the pupils have met their two group leaders, had a tour of the site and settled into their rooms. They enjoyed sausages and potatoes for dinner as well as being given permission to have unlimited salad ALL WEEK! This evening they took part in problem solving games, involving a water balloon drop off a tower and are now all settled in bed. Hoping for a slightly drier day tomorrow
