It has been lovely to see the children so excited for Christmas and fully immersed in the festive activities taking place in their classes. It has been a long, but very successful, term but the last few weeks have been full of our Core Value of enjoyment.
I want to begin by saying a huge well done to our Early Years and Year 2 classes for their incredible Christmas performances. The children were absolutely fantastic, and a big thank you must go to our staff for all their hard work in bringing these shows together.
Thank you as well to everyone who supported our Hollyberry Fayre. It was another really successful event, and we are incredibly grateful to our brilliant PTA for all the time, energy and organisation that went into making it such a success.
We also enjoyed a wonderful day last Wednesday celebrating Christmas Dinner and Christmas Jumper Day. Thank you to Mrs Santos and her team for preparing a delicious Christmas lunch that was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
This week, we said a fond farewell to the brilliant Mrs Carter after an extraordinary 26 years of service at Heathlands. We were able to give her a truly fitting Heathlands send-off, celebrating her many years of dedication — with her goodbye video being a particular highlight. She will be greatly missed. Yesterday, we also came together for our Christmas Service, where we listened to the Christmas story, sang hymns and celebrated the season as a whole school community.
Finally, from all of us at Heathlands, we would like to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas. We hope you all enjoy a well-earned break, with time to rest, recharge and enjoy being together with friends and family. Thank you, as always, for your continued support throughout the term. We look forward to welcoming the children back in the New Year, refreshed and ready for the exciting term ahead.
