I have recently been made aware of some concerns regarding children’s behaviour on the Heath before and after school.
A parent has highlighted that a large pile of logs has been left near the hedge by the footpath. There is understandable concern that these could be moved or climbed on, which may pose a risk of injury.
In addition, there have been reports of children:
-
Playing within the hedgerows and creating dens
-
Damaging plants and natural areas
-
Using materials such as sticks and poles in ways that could be unsafe
-
Causing disturbance to neighbouring properties
While we know the Heath is a much-loved space for children to enjoy, it is not supervised by school staff, and it is important that it is used safely, respectfully and with consideration for others and the local environment.
We kindly ask all parents and carers to:
-
Supervise their children closely when using the Heath
-
Ensure children are not climbing on logs or using loose materials unsafely
-
Respect the natural environment and avoid damaging hedges, plants or wildlife
-
Be mindful of our neighbours and their property
We are proud of the way our children represent the school, and we know that, with your support, we can ensure the Heath remains a safe and enjoyable space for everyone in our community.
Thank you for your continued support.
