Eco Council Update

An update from Mrs Patterson and the Eco Council

The Eco Council have had a wonderfully busy half term! We’ve been learning all about how to care for birds during the winter months, which inspired us to make our own bird cakes for the Peaceful Paradise Garden.

A week later, we took part in the RSPB Big Bird Watch. Luckily, we were blessed with glorious sunshine and spotted an impressive range of birds, including crows, blue tits, jackdaws, robins and even a kite!

Outside of school, we teamed up with St Mary’s Church to join their weekend Bird Watch. A big thank you to the children who gave up their time on a cold Saturday morning to take part — your enthusiasm was fantastic.

We would like to extend our thanks to the Barn Garden Centre who generously donated two birdfeeders and a range of bird food to fill them up with - lucky birds!

We also held our first Eco Refill Shop of the year last Friday and saved another 37 plastic containers from going to waste — an amazing achievement! Please do come along and support our next sale on Friday 20th March at 3:30pm in Willow Class.

Thank you for your continued support.
