This week our talented Year 4 children Shone Their Lights and wowed audiences with a wonderful performance of The Lucky Viking. The musical production links to their Spring theme 'How to Train Your Viking' and enabled the children to showcase their acting, singing and dancing skills! A massive thank you to all the staff, parents and grandparents who supported the performances.
On Tuesday 12th March, we celebrated STEM day at Heathlands. Children worked on 4 STEM projects with different teachers across the school and enjoyed learning a variety of new skills and knowledge in science, technology, engineering and maths.
On Friday we celebrated World Book Day at Heathlands! It was a fantastic day enjoyed by staff and children alike. Children shared their favourite books with their buddies and there were lots of new book reviews put on our school reading tablet. Thank you to everyone who supported the event and particularly the PTA who ran the extremely successful Wonderlicious Bar sale!
This week members of our school council planted two new field maple trees on our school field. The trees were from the Trees for Free local scheme encouraging people to support Essex's plan increase coverage of trees across the county. The tree variety was voted for democratically by all members of the school council.
