Heathlands Primary School awarded £5,000 grant from East of England Co-op Community Cares Fund
Heathlands Primary School is delighted to announce that it has been awarded £5,000 from the East of England Co-op’s Community Cares Fund to support the development of its new Innovation Centre – an exciting project that will transform part of the school’s main corridor and entrance into a vibrant, multi-use learning and wellbeing space.
The Innovation Centre will include zones for times-tables practice, reading for pleasure, small-group work, and a therapy-dog calm area to support pupil wellbeing. The funding will go directly towards new furniture and equipment for this exciting designated space – all designed to create a flexible, inclusive environment where children and staff can learn, collaborate and reflect.
Headteacher Darryl Crawley said:
“We are so grateful to the East of England Co-op for recognising the importance of this project. The Innovation Centre will bring learning to life beyond the classroom and give the children the chance to learn in calm, purposeful space. It’s a fantastic example of what can be achieved when schools and local organisations work together to improve opportunities for young people.”
The school also thanked its PTA and the wider West Bergholt community for their continued fundraising and support, which will help complete the next phase of the project later this year.
