Updates from Mrs White
The Christmas Term is always a busy one for our musicians. Last Monday we had the Upper Junior Music Assembly in which children could showcase the pieces they have been learning. Everyone did really well and it was lovely to hear the progress our pupils have made. Many thanks to the hard work of all their music teachers.
On Sunday 30th November the choir has the honour of singing at the West Bergholt Village Christmas Tree Lighting at the Orpen Hall, which we are really looking forward to.
The Christingle Service on Monday 1st December will feature some of our violins, flutes and keyboard players to play everyone in and out. Huge thanks to Mrs Gold who organises the violin pieces and practice sessions.
On Tuesday 2nd December the choir are representing Heathlands again at the John William’s evening concert in Charter Hall. This is run by Essex Music Services and we are so lucky to be chosen out of all the schools that applied to sing. This is our 4th year of taking part.
Sunday December 14th sees the Village Carols by Candlelight held at the Old Church. The choir will be helping to lead the singing and will be doing some solos of their own. Our showpiece is Stille Nacht (Silent Night) which we sing in German.
I’d like to thank Mrs Gold, Mr Clark and Mrs Ruddock for their support in what is a very busy term for us, and wish you all a very merry Christmas,
Mrs White
