This year, for the first time, KS2 children had an opportunity to take part in the Colchester Christmas Lights Switch On. The children took part in a lantern-making workshop with professional artists, applying their creative designs to willow structures with care and exemplary teamwork.

On Saturday, the children gathered at Mercury Theatre and carried their beautiful lanterns through the parade. Even with the cold and wet winter weather, the Heathlands spirit shone bright as the children smiled and sang their way down the high street!

We are incredibly proud of their courage, the enjoyment they showed and how brilliantly they represented Heathlands at this special community event. Well done!
