    Following your helpful feedback on what workshops you would find beneficial, we have put together a programme of the following options. Please complete the form below to sign up to the workshops you would like to attend. You will be able to attend one workshop at 3.30pm and another at 4.15pm. There will be a créche held for children to attend, if required, while you visit the workshops. 

    Family Workshops – Fill out form

    1. Maths and Times Tables - this workshop will cover how to develop oracy in maths, different methods we use to teach maths, Mastering Number, how times tables are taught and ideas to support your children with maths at home.

    2. Writing - this workshop will cover information on early writing, our handwriting policy, Drawing Club & Curious Quests, and how we support and scaffold writing progress in school. 

    3. RSE & PSHE - this workshop will discuss new changes to the curriculum for September 2026 and give a general overview of our Relationships and Sex Education & Personal, Social, Health and Economic curriculum. 

    4. Additional Needs - this workshop will explore how additional needs are recognised and managed to support all children to make progress. 

    5. RE - this workshop will cover the RE curriculum at Heathlands and how this links to the Essex Agreed Syllabus. 

    6. Supporting Engagement - this workshop is all about supporting reluctant learners. It will cover how to support reluctant learners at home, effort in school, growth mindset and resilience and ideas for use of tech and apps to support engagement. 

    7. Reading and Phonics - this workshop will explore reading comprehension (DERIC), how to promote a love of reading and engage reluctant readers and how phonics is taught at Heathlands.
