We use our own customised Phonics and Spelling programme, teaching 20-30 minute lessons daily. This programme was developed by staff at Heathlands and is based on what we know works for our school from the 2014 Letters and Sounds programme of study as well as using the teaching order of Grapheme Phoneme Correspondence from Bug Club and Rocket Phonics, as these were the existing reading scheme books which work for our children.
