Mrs Heard joined Heathlands in 2025 as a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, bringing with her valuable experience from working with young carers in the local area, as well as supporting pupils in another school. In addition to her classroom role, she also spends time as one of our Midday Supervisory Assistants (MDAs).

She loves supporting children and feels proud to see each and every one of them grow in confidence and achieve their potential. She is always keen to learn more and continues to build her knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN), so she can support her pupils in the best way possible.

Outside of school, Mrs Heard is kept busy by her two children. As a family, they enjoy kayaking and going for walks along the beach with their labradoodle, Dolly.
