Mrs Frances has been teaching for 17 years and started teaching at Heathlands in 2016. Although, she visited our school site for many years prior to this for our annual fireworks display and visits the village regularly to see close family and friends. Since joining Heathlands, she has spent the most of this time in the Early Years department supporting our youngest children, however, is about to embark on a new adventure into Year 2! Mrs Frances has previous Key Stage One teaching experience & is very much looking forward to exploring the new themes with the children and being a part of the Key Stage One team.

She holds a BA (Hons) degree in Primary Education and completed her teacher training alongside her degree. Mrs Frances specialised in Mathematics. Her other passions are reading, art and PE. Mrs Frances also oversees the teaching of our PSHE/RSE curriculum within the school.

Beyond the classroom, Mrs Frances has a busy homelife with her two children – Alfie and Sophie. She loves to spend lots of time with her family and going on days out together. She particularly enjoys taking regular trips to Mersea where she has a beach hut. You might see her down there one day tucking into a Mr Whippy or on the jetty crabbing with her children! Mrs Frances loves to read, however she also likes to relax with a cup of tea, a slice of cake and a good series on the TV.
