Mrs Skinner worked at another school in Colchester for 14 years, where she qualified as an LSA. She then worked as part of the SEN team, working closely with outside agencies like behaviour support, and specialist schools extending her knowledge in a variety of areas.  Mrs Skinner gained a diploma in Child Psychology, then qualified as an HLTA and taught across the school.
In 2015 she joined Heathlands, as part of the SEN team and as an HLTA. She really enjoys her job and says "There is no better job than one that makes you laugh and smile every day."

In her spare time Mrs Skinner spends time with her husband, two children, family and friends. She has four cats (but would definitely like more). She loves music, movies, going to festivals and the theatre.

Oh and of course she LOVES chocolate!
