Mrs Allston joined Heathland’s Primary School in 2019 as an MDA. She now works as a 1:1 LSA and in infants as an MDA. She enjoys supporting all the students in the classes in which she works. Before working in education, she spent time in the care sector and earned an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care. She first joined a special needs school as an MDA, and since then has continued to build her skills through professional courses, including Teaching Assistant Support in Action (April 2025) and Attachment in Early Years (May 2022).

Her family means everything to her — she is married with four children (three girls and one boy), three wonderful grandchildren, and one very loved dog! In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, crafts, knitting, and crochet and spending time with her grandchildren.
