At Heathlands, it is our aim for all children to be well balanced, kind and self-confident individuals, who are aware of how they shine their light. We do this through our core values, vision and PSHE curriculum.
Through collaboration, children become healthy, independent and responsible members of the local and global community. They develop social, moral and cultural understanding to become tolerant and thoughtful members of society.
At Heathlands, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) is lifelong learning about relationships, emotions, looking after ourselves, different families, sex, sexuality and sexual health. We aim for the children in our school to acquire the appropriate knowledge, develop their skills and form positive beliefs, values and attitudes. We want our children to leave school being able to flourish in the wider community & become confident and positive role models for future generations. In school, we endeavor to promote a ‘work hard’ attitude, as resilience and perseverance are skills that will be called upon throughout their adult lives. Pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural (SMSC) development is at the heart of our school ethos; supporting every child to be the best version of themselves.
Heathlands Primary School is proud to be a Healthy School that promotes the health and well-being of pupils. We aim to do this as a whole school approach, which includes pupils from Early Years up to Year 6. Please see below for our Healthy Schools Foundation Certificate. We are delighted to announce that we are currently working towards our Enhanced Healthy School Status!
