Maternity Teacher (ECT Applications Encouraged)
M1 - M6
This post is for a one year maternity contract.
Heathlands C of E Primary School is a happy, thriving two-form entry primary school based in the village of West Bergholt, Colchester. Our school has a family-feel where all members of our community are welcome and treated with respect. What skills and experience we're looking for:
We are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic main pay scale/early career teacher to join our thriving Church of England Primary school in West Bergholt, Colchester for a one year maternity contract.
The successful candidate will have a true passion for teaching, the ability to inspire our children and have a desire to get involved in many areas of school life. They will also be strongly aligned to our school's core Christian values of Trust, Respect, Enjoyment, Courage and Kindness.
We are looking for someone who is:
- an outstanding teacher with very high expectations of themselves and others
- experienced in delivering enjoyable, engaging lessons which motivate and inspire children
- passionate about helping every child shine their light
- flexible, with a good sense of humour and an understanding of each child's bigger picture
- hard working, creative and keen to develop their teaching expertise to make it the best it can be
- open to feedback, innovation and developing their skills
- committed to a curriculum that is relevant, exciting and supportive of children's ideas and interests

This is an exciting opportunity for: a main pay scale teacher; a student who has recently achieved QTS; or a student will be finishing their teacher training in July 2024.

MDA Vacancies
Heathlands are looking to appoint Midday Assistants on a permanent basis. The positions are for an hour and a quarter daily, term time only.
The successful candidates will: Have excellent communication skills Have some experience of working with children with SEND Show initiative Be committed to supporting children in their learning Have a clear commitment to the safeguarding of all children
