Safeguarding
At Heathlands C of E Primary School, the health and safety of all children is of paramount importance.
Parents send their children to school each day with the expectation that school provides a secure environment in which their children can flourish. We have thorough procedures in place to ensure the safety and welfare of all our pupils and staff. All our pupils know that they are valued and that any concerns they have will be taken seriously and addressed by the adults who care for them.
Governors and all staff have had appropriate child protection training, which is regularly updated.
Our School Designated Safeguarding Lead is:
Mrs Cork (Acting Headteacher)
Deputy Designated Safeguarding leads are:
Mrs Howells (Acting Deputy Head)
Mrs Brennen (Acting Deputy Head)
If you have any concerns then please do not hesitate to contact any of one of these members of staff.

E Safety
At Heathlands, we believe that it is essential that we prepare our pupils for life in the 21st Century. Becoming confident in computing, in its many forms, is key to this. All of our pupils will use the internet in their time at Heathlands. Pupils will be taught how to be safe online and how to use the internet in a safe way.
We also run workshops for parents in Internet Safety. We encourage parents to discuss this at home and ensure that children are supported in being safe users of the internet. Mr Hassard heads up our E-safety work and any
questions regarding online safety should be directed to him.
