School Business Manager – Job Share

Salary – Scale 9 - £33,486 per annum pro rata

25.5 hours per week.  Term time plus two weeks

Starting September 2022

Heathlands C of E Primary School is seeking a School Business Manager to job share with an experienced individual in the same role.  We are a two-form entry primary school with a well-managed budget and robust internal procedures.  We are seeking an experienced, innovative and enthusiastic individual who will help to drive the School forward to achieve its strategy and vision. 

The successful applicant will:

  • Be aligned to our school’s Core Values of Trust, Respect, Enjoyment, Courage and Kindness
  • Work as part of the Senior Leadership Team, providing strategic support to the Headteacher and Governing Body in order that the School is able to meet its educational aims
  • Provide professional leadership and management of Office staff, Site Manager, Midday Assistants and Catering staff
  • Have current knowledge and experience of working in finance and managing budgets, ideally in an education setting
  • Be able to communicate effectively with staff and Governors, both orally and in writing
  • Be very organized, approachable, able to work under pressure and have excellent people skills
  • Be experienced in the use of IT systems (ideally SIMs, FMS and Microsoft Office) including Payroll systems
  • Have experience of all areas of HR and follow Local Authority and local policies and procedures
  • Be self-motivated, hardworking, flexible and able to build constructive, positive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Have a calm, professional manner, always maintaining discretion and able to handle difficult situations professionally and sensitively
  • Understand and be compliant with procedures and legislation relating to confidentiality and GDPR

Ideally, the successful candidate will have a School Business Manager qualification, such as the CSBM, DSBM or ILM diploma (or be willing to work towards this).
